This book does not list recipes, but actually teaches you to think outside the box and work your magic with what you have. Even the recipes described in here are not just a list of ingredients and cooking steps, but an actual explanation of why you need to do what you are doing, as well as ideas of how you can substitute ingredients. You will be guided through the whole process: from learning some of the easiest recipes to mastering the most sophisticated and non-traditional ones.Thus, if you have ever scrolled through cheesecake recipes and got frightened to even try, this book is definitely for you, as it will change your perspective big time!
I fell in love with cheesecakes a while ago and ever since I have discovered many ways how to make them, various recipes, and a lot of tips and tricks. Now I want to share this passion of mine with you. In this book I will show you how to make a mouthwatering cheesecake with the ingredients you have and in the time slot you have available. You will learn about different cheesecakes and cheesecake making traditions. Most importantly, you will understand the principles behind making a cheesecake which will allow you to experiment yourself. Also, you will learn about non-traditional flavor combinations to bring your cheesecake to an even higher level.
To be readable for everyone all units in this book are mentioned both in the metric and imperial system. Thus, whether you are used to measure in grams or ounces, set temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit you will understand what I want to say.
I will literally walk you through everything you need to know to become a cheesecake master. Already in the first chapter you will learn two very simple recipes, as well as ingredient alternatives to jump-start your cooking creativity. The second chapter introduces you to cheesecakes which require baking, thus “bake cheesecakes”. Once you master that, we will move onto the next chapter which contains everything you need to know about making cheesecakes where no oven is required, thus “no bake cheesecakes”. In the final recipe-chapter I will take you along to explore non-traditional flavors. There you will find cheesecakes which contain such things as carrots, ham, peas and even blue cheese and pears. Finally, for you to have a bit of cheesecake-small talk with your impressed guests, in the Appendix you will find some cheesecake history and trivia.
After reading this book you will feel much more confident in your cooking abilities and will surprise your family, friends and even yourself. You will know the underlying principles of making cheesecake and substitutes for its various ingredients. All that will allow you to unleash your creativity and make something truly delicious. I have included my 15 favorite recipes, however, they serve more to illustrate the approach. Once you have mastered the essence, you can create another 150 recipes of your own.
