How do you teach mindfulness to kids? (might be handy for yourself as well)

Mindfulness seems like one of those buzzwords everyone seems to use, alongside “smart”, “green”, “bio”, “creativity” and so on. However, mindfulness is much more than just a word, this is a way of life. Mindfulness trains resilience, offers you better insights about your own choices and in general allows you to make much more “dear” choices. By “dear” I mean choices which truly resonate with you and inspire you to move on and achieve your goals. It reduces anxiety, improves mental health and significantly encourages optimism. Thus, mindfulness matters and benefits you in many ways. Which is more, it can bring a lot of benefits also to your little ones.This is exactly what I would like to talk about in this short post. Time: why does it run faster as we age and can we slow it down?

Our youngest kid started school last week… (pause)

Allow me to repeat it once again as I still don’t believe it myself:

our. youngest. kid. started. school. last. week.

The moments like that make you think about time and how fast it flies by. It seems that when we were kids the period from September till Christmas was impossibly long. And look at us now… It is almost Christmas, when the first of September was last week, wasn’t it? But is it actually true: does time fly faster or is it yet another trick our brain is playing on us? If the latter is the case, can we “play back” and slow the lapse of time?
